Hey, all! Welcome to my blog!
Its still new, give it a few hits, and let me know what you think! I really want to take my writing as serious as I should because things are always running through my head, and most of them I would love to shar. Here is my first post, after reading a NY Daily News article.
Let me know what you think!
What is worse than leaving home and
entering a world of education, intelligence, new experiences, excitement, and then
reaching a hurdle of sexual disruption that cannot be dismissed? Recently in
New York City, sixteen city teachers have been placed under the spotlight for
perverted antics within the classroom. According to the New York Daily News,
one instructor allegedly bent a student over, thrust him from behind, saying
“I’ll show you what is gay.” Another teacher continued to call his female
students “sexy”. Having been reported, investigated and viewed under a new,
shocking perspective, these teachers cannot be fired.
As the city of New York have done their
investigations, preached their thoughts, and have decided to fire eight other
school staff members, officials have stated that the state law prevents theses
specific sixteen tainted classroom educators from being removed, because their
offenses were not a cause to be fired. Teachers are the providers of insights
that cannot be reached at home, or else children would simply be home-schooled.
It is truly unfair and misleading that these teachers were not removed from the
school system immediately, causing students to endure circumstances no one
would want to face. Why must students face these actions when school is an
environment to reach a new world of enjoyment and often times an escape from a
pessimistic humanity at their place they call home?
Children, teenagers, and young adults
all face issues. Whether the issues are mental, physical, or sexual, there is
something that will always take place within the household. With that, school
must be the outlet for relief and new education; not to face another obstacle
that can later lead to ramifications ranging from suicide, mental disabilities,
and pure unhappiness. These teachers and others who partake in sexual
misconduct should and need to be removed in order to keep the optimistic and
constructive environment all students want and need.
These teachers were investigated by
arbitrators whom are state-appointed attorneys who are very difficult to win an
argument with. Instead of having these teachers fired, they instead came to the
conclusion that most of the accusations were unbecoming, inappropriately
reported, and simply false, still keeping them within the school system. With
their insolent and audacious actions, these teachers are still granted the
opportunity to walk in to their classroom and educate the children of our
future. The state law and decision of the arbitrators are absolutely erroneous
and cause parents, guardians and students to second guess who they are being
educated by.
Education is one of the granted
opportunities Americans are given in our country, as others are begging to
learn the simple twenty-six letters of the alphabet. As teachers are taking
their jobs for granted, and choosing what they do, and how they teach, some
students will later not know where to turn, because of not receiving the proper
professional education. As soon as these sixteen teachers were investigated,
and proof was given of their actions, they should have been removed from the
school system. Having the arbitrators being paid over $1,000 daily, one would
think their decisions would be better made, but with that we simply have to be
aware of where our children are being educated, what they are being taught, and
how they are being treated. As they are the spotlight of the future, let’s keep
the light as bright as can be.
